Use & Care
Important Safety Information
Urethral sounding involves inserting an object into the urethra and carries risks of infection, bleeding, tissue injury, scarring, and urinary complications.
Consult a qualified healthcare professional before considering use. Do not use if you have urinary symptoms, irritation, an active infection, or a history of urethral injury without medical guidance.
Never force insertion. Stop immediately if you experience pain, resistance, or bleeding. Seek medical attention if you develop difficulty urinating, fever, persistent pain, or other concerning symptoms.
Do not leave the device inserted during ejaculation, as directed by the manufacturer.
Hygiene & Cleaning
Urethral use requires a higher standard of hygiene than ordinary external toy use. Cleaning with soap or toy cleaner does not necessarily sterilize a product.
The manufacturer recommends cleaning before and after use, but the supplied information does not establish a validated sterilization method for the complete silicone-and-ABS device.
Consult the manufacturer's instructions and a qualified healthcare professional regarding appropriate infection-prevention practices. Do not assume that antibacterial soap or a standard toy cleaner makes the device sterile.
Allow all components to dry completely before storage or charging.
Vibration Settings & Remote Control
The Dark Chain offers 4 vibration speeds and 7 patterns, providing 28 possible combinations.
The wireless remote has a manufacturer-stated range of up to 32 feet and uses one included CR2032 battery.
Refer to the supplied manufacturer's instructions for control operation and battery replacement.
Charging & Water Resistance
The vibrating component is USB rechargeable using the supplied charging cable.
The device has an IPX5 water-resistance rating and must not be submerged in water. The remote's water-resistance rating has not been specified.
Keep the charging connection dry and follow the manufacturer's charging instructions.
Lubricant Compatibility & Storage
The manufacturer specifies water-based lubricants only and recommends a sterile lubricant for urethral use. Ordinary water-based personal lubricants are not necessarily sterile or appropriate for this application.
Consult a qualified healthcare professional about suitable products and infection-prevention requirements.
Store the device clean and completely dry, away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, and contact with other silicone accessories.
Staff Tip
Before purchasing a urethral sound, review its measurements, material construction, and cleaning requirements carefully. For this specialized product, confirm an appropriate hygiene and sterilization protocol with the manufacturer and a qualified healthcare professional.
Recommended Accessories
- Water-Based Lubricants: Explore our water-based lubricants collection. For urethral use, only a lubricant specifically confirmed as sterile and suitable for that application should be considered. Ordinary water-based lubricants may not meet those requirements.
- Intimate Toy Cleaners: Browse our toy cleaners collection for general toy-care products. Standard toy cleaners should not be assumed to sterilize a device for urethral use.
- Protective Storage Case: A clean, dedicated storage case can help keep the device separated from other accessories between uses.
