Liberator Esse Sex Couch – Sculpted Tantric Chair
Transform your bedroom with the Liberator Esse Sex Couch, an elegantly sculpted positioning chaise designed to combine supportive body positioning with sophisticated furniture styling. Its flowing ergonomic curves create multiple support zones, making it easy to transition between seated, reclined, kneeling and elevated positions.
The Esse is available in two distinct versions. The full-size Esse provides a substantial 24-inch-wide support surface, while the Esse Slim offers a narrower profile that's easier to straddle and takes up less lateral space.
Both versions feature carefully shaped curves designed to support natural body alignment while providing comfortable elevation. Rather than constantly rearranging loose pillows, the Esse gives you a continuous sculpted surface with different heights and contours built directly into the chaise.
Versatility extends beyond the main couch. Each version includes a removable headrest that doubles as a positioning pillow, giving you an additional support piece that can be placed wherever extra cushioning or elevation is wanted.
The Esse also includes a mini-scoop that can be used independently or combined with the chaise. This modular approach allows you to customize the support profile instead of being limited to the contours of the main couch alone.
With its elegant silhouette and furniture-inspired appearance, the Esse can blend naturally into a bedroom while providing the specialized ergonomic support expected from Liberator positioning furniture.

Choose Your Esse: Full-Size or Slim
Full-Size Esse
The standard Esse provides a 24-inch-wide support surface. Its broader profile offers more lateral room across the sculpted chaise and creates a substantial furniture presence in the bedroom.
Esse Slim
The Esse Slim retains the sculpted positioning concept in a narrower format. The slimmer profile is specifically designed to make straddling the chaise easier and may also suit rooms where a narrower piece of furniture is preferred.
Both versions include the removable headrest and modular mini-scoop, so the main decision comes down to the amount of width and accessibility you prefer.
Sculpted Curves Instead of Loose Pillows
The Esse's signature feature is its continuous series of ergonomic curves. Different sections of the chaise create different heights and support points, allowing the body to be repositioned without rebuilding a stack of ordinary pillows.
- Reclined Support: Curved sections provide comfortable upper-body elevation.
- Hip & Pelvic Elevation: Different contours can support the lower body at varying heights.
- Seated Support: Sculpted areas create natural places for supported sitting.
- Kneeling Support: Plush surfaces provide cushioning around common pressure points.
- Transition Support: Continuous curves make it easier to move from one supported position to another.
Removable Headrest Becomes a Positioning Pillow
The included removable headrest does more than provide additional comfort at the top of the chaise. Detach it from the Esse and it becomes a separate positioning pillow.
Place it beneath the head, back, knees or another area where targeted cushioning is useful. It can also be combined with one of the Esse's curves to fine-tune the amount of support.
Mini-Scoop Adds Even More Versatility
The included mini-scoop adds another modular component to the Esse system. It can be positioned independently as a smaller support or combined with the main chaise to modify its existing contours.
Having both a removable headrest and mini-scoop means the Esse isn't limited to a single fixed configuration. The individual pieces can be moved as your preferred body position changes.
Elegant Enough to Stay in the Bedroom
The Esse is designed to provide specialized positioning support without looking like clinical equipment. Its sculptural silhouette gives it the appearance of a contemporary chaise, helping it integrate naturally with sophisticated bedroom decor.

How to Use the Esse
Place the Esse on a stable, level surface with sufficient open space around the chaise for comfortable movement.
Start by exploring the different curves without the additional accessories. Sit, recline or position yourself along different sections to determine which contour provides the desired amount of elevation and support.
Next, experiment with the removable headrest. It can remain attached for additional upper-body support or be removed and used as a separate positioning pillow.
Use the included mini-scoop independently or combine it with the chaise when additional cushioning, elevation or a modified support angle is wanted.
Make sure the chaise and any separate positioning pieces are stable before placing significant body weight on them.
Before Ordering
The Esse is full-size positioning furniture rather than a small bedroom accessory. Measure your intended room and delivery route before ordering.
Check bedroom entrances, hallways, stairways, elevators and other access points through which the product will need to travel.
The supplied information confirms that the standard Esse is 24 inches wide. Complete dimensions for this version and dimensions for the Esse Slim were not supplied, so consult the current product specifications when detailed space planning is required.
Cleaning & Care
Detailed upholstery and cleaning specifications were not included in the supplied product information.
Follow Liberator's current care-label instructions for the upholstery, removable headrest, mini-scoop and underlying furniture components.
Attend to spills promptly and avoid using cleaning products that have not been confirmed as compatible with the upholstery material.
Allow cleaned surfaces to dry completely before using or covering the furniture.
Staff Tip
Don't treat the Esse as having only one "correct" direction. Its different curves create multiple support zones, and changing which end you approach or where you position yourself can completely change the amount of elevation. Add the headrest or mini-scoop only after finding the main curve that feels most comfortable.
